* edit ~ 24 July 2010 ~ I added different hair, and completely changed the colour tones of the whole piece. There was too much dark green before, and there was something weird about the sky which I've rectified
I've used the title of Thomas Hardy's novel because it seems fitting ~ his title referred to a line from Thomas Gray's poem, Elegy:
Far from the madding crowd's ignoble strife Their sober wishes never learn'd to stray; Along the cool sequester'd vale of life They kept the noiseless tenor of their way.
